The perfect beginner's introduction to using your digital camera (compact or SLR).
Topics include:
• Understanding your camera’s controls
• In-Camera Creative Techniques
• Basic rules of Photographic Composition
• Professional Critique of Students Photos
• Digital Imaging – downloading your photos
• “Photowalk” in Adare Village on Second Saturday – putting theory into practice
Participants limited to 8 students. Course will run with 5 students minimum - limited to 8 total.
PRICE: €225 per person for both days
Booking Deposit: €100, remainder of course fee to be paid in full on first day.

PROFESSIONAL PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY BASICS

All you need to know to take a photograph of a person that will SELL - outdoor and indoor photography - using available light, a flash gun and 1 or 2 studio lights.
This comprehensive workshop is for anyone who wants to improve their people photography and those who may be thinking of starting a portrait photography business.
Topics include:
• Lens focal length for portraits
• Aperture settings for portrait photography
• Composition for Portraits
• How to work with bad weather outside
• Using Reflectors outside to replace the sun
• Fill-in Flash for Outdoor Portraits
• Flash techniques for indoor portraits
• Basic Equipment for Studio Portraiture
• Using 1 and 2 lights only inside
• Posing for portraits - The eye secrets
• How to capture the perfect expression
• Using Reflectors inside to replace a studio light
A live model will be used throughout the day.
